About Us
Welcome to the research lab of Ethan Chen, Assistant Professor of biology at Texas Tech University. We study how the interactions between tumor cells and immune niche, the alterations in tumor metabolic pathways and impacts of tumor stem cells contribute to the progression and development of tumors.
We use state-of-the-art approaches to address important questions in tumor biology, and a major goal of our research is to generate basic knowledge that would advance our understanding of cancer and a long term goal is to develop potential therapeutics that would impact the community by improving responses to therapy and by reducing the mortality rate in cancers.
